However, I did work on my portion of my group's short story that I was to do. I think that our short story is good, but I think that those people reading it may get confused because it changes perpsectives form one person to another. It is hard to work in a group while writing a short story and it is also hard to write a well written story in a week or two.

Class Twelve - Today we watched "Trekkies", which was very entertaining ad funny and made my day. The people in the movie were a little over the top for me. I can see them trying to fit in with society and through Star Trek they do so, but some of them were too extremem in thinking they were something that they are not. I also think that some of the people who are involved are not as socially mature as other people. For example, the guys at the dinner who were so excited about a girl coming to their party. That is not normal to be excited about just having contact with a girl when you are in your thrities. In conclusion, I just think that the Trekkies are not wierd, but different than the social norm.

Class Eleven - Discussing Neuromancer in class helped me understand it a lot more. In my paper, I discussed the theme of drugs in The Matrix. I can not visualize the scenese that are going on so I get lost in the pages.
However, I did enjoy The Matrix. I had never seen it before so it was a bit confusing to me but I did see some overlaping themes between Neuromancer and The Matrix. This childish act involved Billy and Dan. Dan, apparently sat in a seat other than his. Billy did not like this and got angry. This related to the story we read last night. There were hierarchies in both situation. Billy felt he was stronger than Dan and would not allow him to sit in his friends seat. The humans in the story were hierarchial to the bears.
We got in our groups for writing the short story and our group decided to do a story based on the life of Michael Jackson. There has been a lot of controversy about his child molestation trial so we are looking into that. I am really excited about this story because I think it will be a lot of fun. We didn't work on our web projects but tried to move along with our story. The two stories: The Fall of the House of Usher and The Mortal Immortal were cleared up through the discussion with my group. Talking about it really helped me out a lot to better understand the stories. We started the Dremweaver but I really do not like it at all. It is just so complicated and I would much rather just write a paper or do a powerpoint rather than posting it on the web which is just confusing to me.

Class One - This class seems like it will be more interesting than I thought. I have never really been interested in science fiction but after this class I think I will want to read more science fiction novels or watch more science fiction movies. I have already read some of the short stories that we will be reading in middle and high school, but I never really enjoyed reading them. I hope I will be able to find more meaning in them after taking this class. For my research topic, I would maybe like to look into cloning.
